“The Link” is a music project launched by YonYon that connects producers and singers from Japan and South Korea in the form of music production that also distributes and promotes music in both countries

In this fourth album, “Owl (Liberation)”, Samuel Seo, who moved to Canada after spending his childhood in Japan and now works as a talented artist in Korea, collaborated with YonYon for the music composition and writing lyrics.

And TENDRE, the allrounder Taro Kawahara, is in charge of general trackmaking.

Using the music based on TENDRE’s speciality, black music, and the tracks with a composition full of undulating originality, Samuel Seo and YonYon skillfully maneuver through with their expressive vocals and senses of melody.

In addition, recording and mixing are performed at Red Bull Studios Tokyo, so this song has a thorough commitment to sound quality.

The subtitle “Liberation” contains a message that in order to love your neighbors, you must first release yourself from your own worries and start accepting yourself as who you are.

Born in Seoul and raised in Tokyo, she is active as a DJ, promoter, music producer, singer and radio DJ.

Utilizing a mixed style that transcends the boundaries of genres and languages, she has performed in various clubs and large festivals around the world. In December 2018, she released the compilation mix CD “Tower Records & Manhattan Records® presents “CITY HIP POP MIX””.

She also directs the [THE LINK] project linking Japan and Korea and plays the role of transmitting information on artists and youth cultures of the same age as a radio personality for Interfm 897 “Tokyo Scene.” So, the world’s eyes are set on her performances inside-out.

A multi-musician who is active in a wide range of performances including rap, songs, songwriting, composition and arrangement. He absorbs genre-less music and freely expresses his music by making full use of various instruments. Like a comet, he appeared in 2015 and released his first album, “frameworks,” and received the “Best Korean R & B / SOUL Album Award” of the “Korean Popular Music Award” the following year. In recent years, he has released his second album “ego expand (100%)” and has successfully completed his Asia tour in Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia and Taiwan.

Taro Kawahara’s solo project, an allrounder that plays guitar, keyboard, and saxophone in addition to bass. He has participated in recordings for various bands and artists such as Yogee New Waves, Ryohu, sumika, and Chara and has also taken part in co-productions. He started producing solo songs a few years ago, released his debut EP “Red Focus” with six songs under the name of TENDRE in December 2017, and then his first album “NOT IN ALMIGHTY” in October 2018.

He released the singles “SIGN” and “CHOICE” consecutively from April to May 2019. The former also attracted attention because that music video was in collaboration with an Austrian sports sandal brand Teva, and the song recorded the highest ranking 4th place on J-WAVE “TOKIO HOT 100”. In addition, the music is being used as the theme song for Honda’s new project “Travel x Motorcycle,” which has allowed it to gaining more and more attention.
